Commissioning Art Work
Commissioning art takes you on a rather unexpected and fulfilling journey.
It allows you to be involved and part of a process in the creation of artwork that you will own. Concerns about it being too expensive a process or one that you will have little control over are soon alleviated as you discover it is a process that is affordable and one that I will keep you fully updated about as your artwork progresses to completion.
N.B. Please note that all proposals on Art by Design and Artist sole Concept commissions are done in the style , media, and method akin to that of my work which appears on the gallery pages of this website.
How it all works
Step 1.
Familiarize yourself with my work by having a look at the Gallery pages of this website
Step 2.
Have a look at the sampling of different types of commissions done for previous clients
Step 3.
Having done the above
If you have dimensions in mind or color preferences, and would like a proposal prepared; or
You have an art by design proposal,or an idea of your own that you would like to present, or discuss further; please Contact Stephen using the contact information on this website.

Proposal Preparation
All Art work or Art by Design Proposals can be prepared and e-mailed or express mailed to the client's address for further input or approval.
If you are local, i.e. you live in Toronto, Canada, a meeting could be arranged for further discussion.
With reference to proposals, all prior discussions between my client and I are followed up in writing to ensure clarity.
A Quote, and where required accompanying sketches or renderings are done and e-mailed or expressed to clients for further changes or approval.
N.B. Please note that all quotes do not include final shipping cost.
Quotes
Quotes on all artwork can be prepared by request, and are calculated individually based on the following:
The dimensions of the artwork
The time required to complete the job
The Media used

Agreement, Deposits, & Payments Schedules
All client approved proposals are confirmed with my client on a signed Client Acceptance of terms PDF agreement form.
Along with the signed agreement a Deposit of 25% based on the given quote is required.
A Payment Schedule between my Client and I will be agreed upon prior to beginning the commission and clearly followed up in writing for client approval
